If you would like to apply for one of our allotmentsplease read the following and then complete the application form.Priority in the allocation of plots will always be given to those applicants who pay Bristol City Council Tax.Before applying - please read this advice:-Running a successful allotment is a lot of hard work,at least initially. It's not like gardening programmes onTV. Most plots on takeover will inevitably look a bit like a small jungle. The secret is to do work a little and often. (I.E Every week of the year). We reckon that you MUST be prepared to commit at the very least 10 hours a week, preferably more, on a medium or large plot once you have taken it over and maybe a bit less for a small plot. So, before applying, please ask yourself "Have I got the time and commitment?" We have been let down by people taking on a plot and then finding they do not have the time. On the other hand we're a friendly lot and are always prepared to offer some assistance and advice where this is genuinely required. How long will it take to get allocated a plot? Allotments are becoming increasingly popular due to rising food costs and all our sites have waiting lists. These vary between sites and range from18 months - 2 years for the Kennel Lodge sites, down to some months for those on Alderman Moore's. You could wait even longer if you do not pay Bristol City Council Tax. Some Bristol City administerd plots have a considerably smaller waiting list, so it might be worth applying for a council plot as well.Application Form here..If you want more information or advice then please email the webmaster.Further general information is available from the Bristol City Allotments site..
